Colour temperature matters more than brightness

Warm household bulbs shift how polish reads, so a client sees one shade in your chair and another outside. Neutral daylight-range LEDs show colour as it actually is. If clients regularly say the shade looks different at home, your lighting is the cause.

Position beats power

A bright lamp in the wrong place throws a shadow off your own hand across the nail you're working on. An adjustable arm that puts light where you're looking does more than raw output. Clamp bases save station surface; weighted bases move between stations.

LEDs also run cool, which matters on a small station where a hot bulb sits near your hands all day.
