Collection: Sterilizer Cabinets
Sterilization is the one piece of salon equipment you don't get to opt out of. Every state board inspection looks at it, every client notices it, and the cabinet behind your station does more to build trust than anything else on your floor.
We've been importing this equipment for thirty years. Here's how to pick the right one.
Start with how many stations you run
Capacity is the decision most people get wrong, usually by buying too small and then running cycles back-to-back all day.
- One to two stations — a 30L countertop cabinet holds a working set of implements without taking the whole surface.
- Three to five stations — 60L is the workhorse size. Room for implements, bits, and accessories with a cycle running while you work.
- Six or more stations — 80L. At this size sterilization becomes throughput. A full cabinet stays ready rather than becoming the thing everyone waits on.
UV-only or UV with heat
Cheaper cabinets use UV-C light alone. UV-C is genuinely effective — the same germicidal wavelength used in clinical settings — but it only reaches surfaces the light physically touches. Anything shadowed by another tool doesn't get treated.
Adding heat changes that. Heated air circulates into the gaps UV can't reach and dries implements at the same time, so tools come out ready to use rather than damp. Our UV-and-heat cabinets run up to 140°F.
If you're replacing a unit because an inspector flagged it, this is usually why. Ask what was specifically noted before you buy the replacement.
Look for these three things
- A door safety switch. The UV lamp should cut out the instant the door opens. Direct UV-C exposure is harmful to eyes and skin.
- An auto or hold cycle. Better cabinets re-run on a timer and keep a loaded cabinet sterile for hours, so the first client of the day gets the same standard as the last.
- Removable shelves. Fixed shelving decides for you what fits. Removable shelves let you load a handpiece or a tall implement jar when you need to.
Chemical-free means one less thing to reorder
Every cabinet here works without solutions or soaking. No chemical to buy, no fumes at the station, no disposal question, and no consumable that runs out on a Saturday. Running cost is electricity and the occasional bulb.
Keep it running
UV-C bulbs lose output before they visibly fail, so a cabinet can look like it's working long after it has stopped sterilizing properly. Replace them on schedule, not on symptoms. We stock genuine Philips bulbs, sterilizer pouches, and utility trays for every unit we sell.
