French and Gel Brushes

Detail work needs a brush that holds its edge. These are the shapes that do specific jobs your acrylic brush can't.

Matching shape to technique

  • French brushes have a flat, angled edge that lays a clean smile line in one pass instead of three corrections.
  • Gel brushes are firmer and flatter, to spread gel evenly without leaving ridges that cure in.
  • Push-up gel brushes let you advance fresh bristle as the tip wears, extending the working life of the brush.
  • Art sets cover liners, dotters and detail rounds for hand-painted work.

Care

Gel brushes must be kept out of UV and LED light between uses or the product in the bristles cures and the brush is finished. Cap them or store them in a drawer. Clean with the appropriate cleanser for the product — never acetone on natural hair.
